Castle Volunteers Work Day

Our work days take place on the first Saturday of each month.  We meet, mid-morning, at the Castle Orchard (see map, further down this page).  Our next such day is Saturday 2 Nov 2024.  We'll start at 10.00am as usual, with a tea break and chat later.  

It's the time of year that we need to do a pond clear-out again, so come ready for that  -  or for clearing/weeding jobs in the orchard.  Painting the steps also needs to be done, but the wood will probably be too damp for that.

Background

Throughout the year, we're never short of things to do.  Some tasks are more physical than others, but we like to think that there is something for everyone.  No-one is left out, the companionship is priceless, and every ounce of effort is appreciated.  Jobs-wise, our old standards include bracken clearance and tackling various items in the orchard, but sometimes there are one-off tasks, and, at other times, our schedule is guided by seasonal demands.  Always, all volunteers are welcome.  I hope you can make it along and join us for a day, now and again.  No prior experience is necessary.  Just turn up  -  or, for further information, contact me, Lorna, on e-mail via secretary@tarbertcastle.info.
