Castle Volunteers Work Party

03 January 2026

Our volunteer work parties take place on the first Saturday of each month, and start at, usually, 10 am.

Tasks vary from month to month, but can include items such as path improvement, moderate digging, and gravelling/re-gravelling.

Sometimes, rotting fence posts have to be identified and replaced, and, at other times, we get involved with pond weed removal.  These are merely examples of the many different jobs that we volunteer for around the Castle grounds.

We have a tea break during the morning.  It is always nice to see who has managed along to help us, either with practical assistance, or even just moral support (the latter especially when the breeze freshens and the drizzle arrives).

Bring your favourite snacks, and some layered clothing.  Everyone is welcome to join us.  No prior experience is necessary.  Just turn up on the day  -  or, for further information, feel free to contact me (details below) in advance.  We would really appreciate your help.

Meet us at the Castle Orchard (see this map) at 10 am.

With best wishes,

Lorna
